Macbeth diary entry. Dear diary.. (and dear whomever decides to read this entry) I was one of the best soldiers. I fought for my king, alongside one of my closest friends, Banquo. We destroyed the enemy and were on our way home from the bloody battlefield when we were confronted by three hideous creatures.

I must speak this over with Lady Macbeth. She will know what to do. She always knows what to do. Duncan arrived at my castle this morning. We welcomed him warmly. I have spoken with my wife. We have decided that Duncan must die so that I may become king. I will kill him in his bedchamber tonight as he sleeps.

Today has been one of my busiest days. I have spent a better part of the day on a battlefield, and fortunately, we won the battle. It is an awkward feeling after seeing thousands in a pool of blood. Banquo, my friend, seems undaunted by the war.

The witches have just told me their prophecy and I don’t know what to think. I have to tell my wife, she is an ambitious women and will be thrilled to find out the news. That in my future I will no longer be thane of Cawdor. I will move on to bigger and better things. For prophesised in my future I will become the great King of Scotland.
