How long does it take for a dissertation to be defended?
The candidate has up to four (4) years to successfully defend his/her dissertation from the time he/she was admitted to candidacy. The Dissertation Defense MUST be physically attended by ALL members of the candidate’s Dissertation Committee, and the Dissertation Defense must be held in UMES facilities.
